Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Study Mate Central, we want you to be completely satisfied with your learning experience. This policy explains your rights and options when it comes to cancellations, refunds, and course access. As a digital learning platform, our policy is tailored to online course purchases rather than physical goods — please read the below carefully before making a purchase.
1. Your 14-Day Cancellation Right
Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 days of the transaction date and receive a full refund — as long as you have not yet accessed or started the course.
This cooling-off period begins on the day your purchase is confirmed. If you wish to cancel, please contact us before the 14-day window closes and before accessing any course content.
⚠️ Important: If you begin accessing any course materials within the 14-day period, you will be waiving your right to cancel. By starting a course, you expressly consent to the immediate delivery of digital content and acknowledge that your cancellation right no longer applies.
2. How to Request a Refund
To request a cancellation or refund, please contact our support team with the following details:
- Your full name and registered email address
- Your order/purchase confirmation number
- The name of the course you purchased
- The reason for your cancellation request

We aim to respond to all refund requests within 2 business days and to process approved refunds within 5–10 business days. Refunds will be returned to your original payment method.
3. Non-Refundable Situations
We are unable to issue a refund in the following circumstances:
- You have accessed or started any part of the course content
- The 14-day cancellation window has passed
- The request is made more than 14 days after purchase
- Your account has been suspended or terminated due to a breach of our Terms & Conditions
- The purchase was made via a third-party platform (e.g. Reed.co.uk) and that platform’s own refund window has also expired
4. Purchases via Reed.co.uk
If you purchased a Study Mate Central course through Reed.co.uk, the refund and cancellation policy of that platform also applies alongside ours. Please refer to Reed’s own refund policy for guidance on how to raise a request through their platform.
The same rule applies: accessing course materials during the cancellation window will forfeit your right to a refund, regardless of the platform used to purchase.
5. Late or Missing Refunds
If you have been told your refund has been approved but you haven’t seen it yet, here are a few steps to follow:
- Check your bank account or payment method — it can take a few days to appear.
- Contact your bank or card provider, as processing times vary between institutions.
- If you have done both and still have not received your refund after 10 business days, please contact us directly.
6. Technical Issues & Access Problems
If you are experiencing technical difficulties that prevent you from accessing a course you have paid for, please contact our support team as soon as possible. We will work to resolve the issue promptly.
Technical issues do not automatically entitle you to a refund, but we will always act fairly and do our best to ensure you get the access you paid for.
